The full privacy explanation
This page explains what Kalid stores, where it stores it, and what it never touches.
One honest limit: period, fertile window, and ovulation predictions in this app are arithmetic from your records. Not birth control and not a diagnosis.
What the app stores and where
Period records, symptoms, moods, free notes, and pill history live in the app storage inside your phone. Settings such as cycle length and reminder time live there too. No copy is sent anywhere.
What is never collected
This app does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, or microphone permission. There is no account, no email, no phone number, no ads, and no trackers. Because there is no internet permission, Android itself makes sure no data can leave.
How reminders work
Period and pill reminders are scheduled inside the phone, with no server involved. When the lock is on, notification contents are masked so a shared phone stays private. On Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones, turn off battery saving for Kalid so reminders are not late.
When a backup is exported and imported
Exporting creates one file with your records. The file does not contain your PIN. You choose where that file goes. Importing loads records from such a file. Once the backup is outside the app, its safety follows wherever you keep it.
If the PIN is forgotten
The PIN is stored scrambled and never sent anywhere. There is no way to force it open, not even for the developer. If you forget it, reinstall the app and restore your records from a backup file.
The automatic backup file in Downloads
When automatic backup is on, the app saves a backup file into your phone Downloads folder. Other apps can open that file because it is an ordinary file. Treat that folder the way you treat other private files, or turn automatic backup off when you do not need it.
When the app is deleted
Deleting the app deletes every record inside it. Any backup file you exported stays wherever you put it, and that file is the only way to restore records after deletion.
What this website records
This website uses no analytics, no third party cookies, and stores no IP address. Your rating is recognised through a random code from your browser that cannot point to a person. One honest note: the hosting provider still keeps its own server logs, as it does for every website in the world. What can be promised: this website does not store or use those logs itself.
